BRIDGEWAY CELEBRATES MENTAL HEALTH WELLNESS WEEK
(Elizabeth, NJ, January 13, 2010) — Helping Bridgeway Rehabilitation Services to celebrate Mental Health Wellness Week in their Hunterdon County Supportive Housing office are Kathy Zahn, Hunterdon County Mental Health Administrator, Cory Storch, Bridgeway Executive Director, and Nancy Schneeloch, Bridgeway Director of Housing and Homeless Outreach Services. Mental Health Wellness Week provides national guidance and centralized resources to help people build awareness and implement programs in their own communities. The campaign encourages and supports companies, clinicians, communities and individuals to learn helpful coping skills and opportunities for self development, as well as provide education on the benefits of good mental health wellness. Bridgeway’s event provided mental health and wellness education, information, interactive programs and health screenings.
For 40 years, Bridgeway has provided services to New Jersey adults who are facing the difficulties of mental illness. Through recovery-centered support services Bridgeway assists individuals to live as independently as possible, learn and work in the community, and improve their quality of life. Bridgeway has taken a leadership role in the state-wide transformation of mental health services to the recovery model and focuses on assisting people to recover meaningful and valued roles through effective cutting-edge mental health programming. Bridgeway was designated NJ Association of Mental Health Agency’s (NJAMHA) 2007 Provider of the Year, in recognition of its tradition of successful psychiatric rehabilitation service outcomes. Bridgeway services are available in Union, Hudson, Passaic, Middlesex, Somerset, Warren, Hunterdon, and Sussex Counties.
